Bill Reed

Current President

I believe in the Old Newsboys Association because of the unique opportunity to provide a service that is often overlooked, new shoes and boots for school age children. Having proper footwear is especially important for children as they grow and allows them to have the tools necessary for their involvement in activities essential to their health and wellbeing.

I am married and live in Williamston Michigan. I have three grown children and six grandchildren. My wife Mary and I like camping and traveling, especially within our great state of Michigan.

Elizabeth Hernandez

Elizabeth works at the Lansing Board of Water & Light. She enjoys supporting non-profit organizations and is an avid golfer.

Treasurer

Sean loves to golf and is passionate about helping kids.

Tom Rathbun

Asst Treasurer

Began selling in the State Office Bldgs. during the annual Sales Day in the 1980's.

Retired from MDOT after 35 years of service and continue to coordinate sales in the State Bldgs.

I administer the Directors Fund which provides member funding for the Annual Meeting and Victory
Dinner. Spend fun time with grandchildren at numerous sporting events.

Cassandra Trawitz (Becker)

Secretary

Cassandra has been in education for over 20 years. Her background is in urban education and advocating for all learners. Cassandra is currently a Special Education Supervisor in Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her family up north. The Old Newsboys Association is part of her family, her mother was on the board for over 30 years.

Dan Perrone

Membership

Dan is a retired City of Lansing Firefighter. He has been with the Old Newsboys Board 25 years and with the Association for over 30 years. He has even sold newspapers for the Old Newsboys as a child.

Ross Martin

Media Director

Ross Martin and has been involved with the Old Newsboys of Greater Lansing for over 20 Years. He served on the Board of Directors for 14 years before stepping into the executive board where he is now our immediate past president and Media Director/Editor for the organization. This includes coordinating the publishing of the annual edition of the Lansing Spoof Journal. If you have any story ideas, let Ross know.
