The Old Newsboys Shoe Voucher program is handled for us by the Salvation Army, located at 525 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI 48912. Shontia Robinson is the contact person. Her phone number is 517-485-9107 and fax is 517-484-2770. COMPLETED FORMS SHOULD BE SENT TO THIS ADDRESS.
Through our fund raising efforts, the Association provided shoes or boots and socks to more than 4,449 school children last year.
Attached is our REQUEST FOR STUDENT FOOTWEAR and the SCHOOL/AGENCY PARTICIPATION REQUEST FORMS. You may make additinoal copies as needed. Please review this informatino and share it with your staff members and members who will be submitting these forms.
Children who are eligible for free or reduced lunch meet our income requirements.
When completing the request form, you may include all school age children from the same family even if the children are attending different schools. You must verify that those children are attending school, however.
Make sure the parents have not made a request through another school, this eliminates duplication. Incomplete or incorrect requests will be returned for correction and will cause delay in voucher preparation.
